A DayExploring and Revisiting.....

Morning faithful followers, how are we all this morning? Bit of rain here first thing but it brightened up now so I'm off out soon.  But not before I update on my little explore yesterday.....

After a fab weekend with the girls I had a day to myself so decided to take myself off in The Heggie's fab little Fiat 500!! Soooooo cute and fun to drive!  I headed out through the Adelaide Hills and my plan was to do a big circle through the hills and vineyards of McLaren Vale and then coming back up the coast.  Which is exactly what I did!!

Now the pictures really tell the story but driving through those rolling green hills it is just like the best of England.  Stunning.  First stop was a gorgeous little town called Stirling with building's from the turn of the last century in that all too familiar style that I love about Adelaide.  Laid back and chilled I headed for an little coffee shop for an incredible strong cup with chocolates perfectly matched by the lovely staff!!  next stop Clarendon, same here, gorgeous buildings and scenery to die for.   A little mooch then carried on to Willunga through the equally cute town of Kangarilla, being greeted by camels which was an unexpected  surprise!! (until I found out they were residents of camel farm.....)

The little Fiat was such fun and we meandered through the wineries and scenery that I will never get tired of seeing and after a short stop in Willunga it was time for a beach, not had one for at least 24 hours.....And what a beach.  Deserted Maslin Beach.  And I mean deserted.  The picture says it all 'just me and the sea'.  The wave crashed and the wind blew and I felt alive happy.

Next beach was Port Noarlunga South, across the boardwalk passing all the surfers who have just had their fix for the day, then to Noarlunga itself for a walk to the end of the boardwalk, alone again (but never lonely) and sticking to the middle to stop the wind blowing me into the crashing sea.  Mother Nature is awesome.

Christies beach next which is a favourite of mine and has had a facelift since my last visit! Up and coming now.  I got some noodles and sat for nearly 2 hours just watching the surfers and soaking up the sun out of the wind.  The surfers dove into the sea, wetsuits glistening in the sun, looking like seals riding the waves.  Next stop was  to be Seacliff (the best) but got a little off track and found myself in the most incredible spot called Marino, high on a cliff with a bench all set over the edge.  Perfect sunset material!! But my timing was off and far too early so after finding my way back, stopped a while in Seacliff for a drink then back home to the Heggie's for tea!

So there we have it, may be short and sweet but believe me I packed a lot in and saw some sights I know and love and some new ones to remember and share!

And today off out this morning, then off to.........no, I will save that till later!

Thanks for watching and reading, please remember to share and

TTFN xx
