So what has Pops been up to.....

Now as you can tell from the title, this is a big adventure for not only me but more so for my Pops!  I left him in Sydney with his long lost friend Fred, and his lovely daughter Cath (whop will take over my role admirably!

So he has been texting me with little snippets of action and I thought I would share them with you, word for word and spelling for spelling.  I hope they make you laugh as much as me!! And for those of you not familiar with my Pops, he is 73, has 2 ceramic hips, a dodgy knee, needs a stick, works on just one lung, takes 14 pills as day, has wonky glasses, hums to himself (a lot), loves the sun and gardening and is known to partake in a beer.  And for all those reasons I love him dearly.

Sunday 19th October

We drove all the way round the area to see the parks etc, it was very busy because it was Sunday they told us, didn't know that. Sat in the garden with my book and it was bloody hot so ended up going indoors, we have just been out to another pub for dinner had a snack, chicken perry perry cause we had a big mac earlier, and if that was a snack I'm glad I didn't have a full meal.  We have been back to Oldham eating trip and pigs trotters elder and all the old good for you food, only wish we could have really been eating it.  Had a great day. Love you and hope you got this as it took me ages on my one finger keyboard, a very happy well fed and sober Pops.

Monday 20th October

Here's one for your blog.  I got up at 7am had a shower and took all my pills got dressed looked around house and could not see Fred so went outside to look, could not see him turned round and door had shut locked out.  Shite.  Sat waiting for Fred to come back from wherever he was no luck, tried to get through the dog flap got stuck got free then the door opened and there was Fred, he had been in bed but did not see him.

Monday 20th October (evening)

We went into town on the train and tram, went to fish market and paddies market and the paddies market was closed today. We missed the ferry because we were at the wrong jetty so we walked into town and had a pint and caught the train home cause it started to rain, pills water and puffers taken, all ok water drunk, having a lie down now, see what happens later.

Tuesday 21st October

Didn't go out yesterday evening stayed in an Fred cooked dinner, steak and chip, crinkly ones, aint had them for a while.  Cath has a new job and is busy for the next couple of days so bought round a shepherds pie for dinner tonight said she was meals on wheels.  Oh forgot to say I slept all afternoon yesterday must have been stick lag, leg doing better. ps only had 6 pints since I have got here cos Fred don't drink much any more thought that would please you!

Wednesday 22nd October

We are going to Manley today, looks like rain for rest of week, my punishement for leaving Ma at home, all pills and puffers taken walking a bit better. Oh forgot to say I sat on the bed to put my shoes on and it collapsed had to be rescued.  Bed now repaired all ok.

Wednesday 22nd October (evening)

Went to Manly managed to get short while on wifi and put a few pics on fb.  We went into the put, I had 2 pints and Fred had nowt, but it was Fred who fell out of the pub, he was ok after thought, I'm knackered and so if Fred, just got in and he has fell into bed, I'm there next.

Thursday 23rd October

Not seen Cath today had a good time in the park with Archie saw a very large number of big bats flying around the trees they can't get rid of them cause they are protected, going to Fred's friends tomorrow for the weekend its about a 4 hour drive on the way to Melbourne, I'm all ok and taking pills.


So there we have it, he is having a fab time and off on a boys trip for the weekend like I am on a girls trip!!

I can just hear him saying these things and it makes me laugh out loud!!!

So until he updates me more, watch out 4 hours from Sydney towards Melbourne and....
