Morning all you wonderful people around the globe who continue to follow my adventures, it is much appreciated and I am still looking for that one big break where I am discovered.....!
So, lets get this up to date. It is now 8.30am Friday morning Down Under and the weekend is about to start. More about that to come over the next few days but now lets just see what I got up to yesterday....
The Heggie's (comprising of Carrie, Graham, Jenn and Daniel) are my very kind hosts for my little trip this time and their house is fab. Pool view from my room, the whole nine yards. The rest of the gang are as follows: The Millers, Helen, Grant, Savanah and Morgan. The Hutsons, Sue, Graham, Ella and Oliver. The Crawleys (who should like in a massive house like Downton with a name like that) Tracey, Brendan, Sarah and Matthew. The Bells, Mandy, Graham, Bethany, Joshua and Mehgan. All interspersed with a splattering of cats, fish, chicken, and Buddy the retriever (I sooooooo need to give that dog a squish, haven't seen him since a pup!)
They are all funny, kind, hospitable and generous people and I love spending time with each and everyone of them So today was about catching up with a few more. It started with pancakes for breakfast and then we headed off to Marion Shopping centre (love it) for supplies for our little girls weekend to the beach (more about that on another post). When I say supplies I mean booze. And lots of it! Oh, and of course nibbles. Car loaded, more stuff bought to weigh down my luggage and risk a fine at the excess baggage desk, fave yogurt from the yogurt shop eaten (it's now become a tradition) we headed back home so Carrie could head off to work and I could relax poolside. And relax I did, working on my tan in the process (well more of a patch of joined up freckles, but tanned enough for a Ginger).
Then time to get ready for the next tradition, sunset at Seacliffe. The Seacliffe hotel is a pub, strangely enough on Seaclliffe beach and I love it. I just love the view, the atmosphere, the food and every time I come here I have to take in the sunset at least once. And tonight was the first. There were nine of us in all, Brendan, Matthew and Savanah joined us girls and we ate as the sun went down (I had my third tradition, Kangaroo Fillet. Nom. Sorry Skippy.....)
We laughed, ate, generally enjoyed ourselves until all the talk of how Helen's shoes that she bought in Big W were the same as the ones I bought in Primarni made the boys leave, and we laughed a little more!
Then home to bed to prepare for the weekend. I tried to call my mum to no avail, so sent several texts asking for people to check on her only to be told this morning that she had rung at midnight and was fine, she had been out on another jaunt. Seems like she needs to do a blog.....
Well you may think that was not as exciting as some of my previous encounters but I can tell you it was one of the best. As I have said before I feel like I'm at home here among friends, and you really can't beat that. And now I sit getting ready for the weekend. A girly trip to Aldinga, a beach house< good friends (finally get to catch up with Mandy and Sue), lots of booze and laughs.
I may not blog on until we get back, depending on the wifi and whether or not I can focus enough to ewrite, but I will be posting some nuggets that my Pops has sent me via text for your amusement. Certainly made me chuckle!
So until then, enjoy the pics and
TTFN xx
Enjoy your weekend sounds my kind of place x
